Tim is the Founder of Mongrels Men Health and Wellbeing and Betterment Consulting. He is a passionate and purpose driven mental health advocate, speaker and workshop facilitator.
After spending 27 years working as a leader in strategy, product and sales for financial institutions such as Commonwealth Bank, ING Bank (Australia) and Rabobank, Tim has combined his experience in corporate environments with his passion for improving the mental health of Australians by equipping people and organisations with the information, skills and tools to improve mental health and support others.
Since launching Mongrels Men in 2021, Tim has won several awards for his work in the mental health space, including Community Recognition from NSW Parliamentarian, James Griffin, MP in 2023.
Tim is the proud father of three spirited teenagers as well as a semi-proficient, non-professional, middle-aged footballer.
After a brief career as a cricketer in England, Tim spent 10 years in sports marketing firms, before founding a content marketing agency within IPG. In 2014, on seeing the Invictus Games in London, Tim partnered with two friends at Deloitte to write the bid to bring the Games to Australia, unlocking his real desire of creating commercially viable products, experiences or services that drive emotion to elicit actions and deliver real world impact.
With both corporate and NFP experience, Tim believes that an impact focused mindset, embedded into organisations with authenticity and commitment, will attract great people to the organisation, great customers to the brand and great investors to support growth.
In 2021, a year after a kitchen table conversation with his wife and four children resulting in a family pledge to reach Net Zero carbon emissions by 2025, Tim founded My Net Zero, a data led consultancy and tech platform that helps businesses negate their employee-related emissions and engages employees in personal climate action.

Debbie is a leading suicidologist in Australia and a trained criminologist, psychotherapist and counselor. Debbie is also a passionate educator. She is a lead trainer at Lifeline, teaching people the skills they need to help people in crisis who may be feeling depressed, anxious, or suicidal.
After spending years in the field, Debbie recognized that many people (especially men) aren’t given the time or space to discuss their mental health issues. Instead, they bottle it up, hoping it goes away. The perceived judgment from others stops people from reaching out for help. With suicide rates at an all-time high, Debbie was compelled to create interactive workshops designed to help sports teams and high-level executives to be at the top of their game.
